Lauren Calve Brings The Winter Sun to D.C.

Singer-Songwriter Lauren Calve will be headlining The Winter Sun Tour, with upcoming January dates in PA, DC, and NY, supported by Cat Ridgeway and Catterina of Washington D.C.

Fresh off the success of her Fall 2022 acclaimed debut album release, “Shift,” Lauren shows no signs of slowing. Having recently completed a tour with Texas-based Americana songwriter Rhett Miller, he notes, “Lauren Calve is an old soul with a voice to match. It’s been terrific to watch her evolution. I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

The album was recorded in Nashville at 3Sirens Music Group with producer, engineer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Dex Green (Margo Price, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Allison Russell) along with a stellar line-up of musical talent including Fred Eltringham on drums (ACM Drummer of the Year, Drumeo Country Drummer of the Year, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson), Audley Freed on guitar (Sheryl Crow, The Black Crowes), Robert Kearns on bass (Sheryl Crow, Lynyrd Skynyrd), Marlon Patton on drums (Larkin Poe, Lera Lynn), Jared Reynolds on bass (Ben Folds) and engineer Joe Costa (Ben Folds).

Now, Lauren brings her amalgamation of DMV meets Nashville music to a few more exciting stages throughout the region with The Winter Sun Tour taking place between Jan 23 and Jan 27, at venues that include Club Café and The Kennett Flash in Pennsylvania, as well as Lincoln Center and The Luncheonette in New York. For the D.C. scene it is all about that Pie Shop show on Jan 26. With one limited exception, Lauren will be sharing those stages with D.C. singers Cat Ridgeway and Catterina.
