Darkwave Group Death By Piano Releases New EP, “Vow”
Death By Piano is returning to the scene with its new EP called Vow.
Vow is full of darkwave songs about commitment, betrayal, loss, grief, and love. You’ll find yourself grooving in your seat to these big beats, soaring synths, aching strings — and don’t forget the vocals.
KALEN’s voice will cut right through and hit you right where it counts! Death By Piano’s new EP is a collaboration between KALEN and Tom Marsh, whose popularity rose after touring with Lana Del Rey as her drummer.
Death By Piano is a Brooklyn-based electronic project that fluidly moves between darkwave and shoegaze. They capture the sounds of the borough through electronic beats, distinctive analog instruments, thick strings, and synths. Death By Piano has been a staple of the NYC underground scene with its dark and dreamy live shows and frequent collaborations with some Brooklyn’s best producers.
Kalen is no stranger to the D.C. area. Her previous project, Kalen & The Sky Thieves, frequently toured through the DMV and could be found at local venues such as DC9. She looks back fondly on those shows and the relationships built right here in our community.
